Peer Riview
Peer Review Process
Journal of Economics and Business (JECOMBI) adopts a blind review process that is closely monitored by the editors. The editors conduct an initial editorial assessment to evaluate the quality, relevance, and suitability of each submission before it enters the peer review process. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal's scientific standards will not be considered for peer review.
Authors are expected to carefully follow the Author Guidelines and indicate the appropriate article category when submitting a manuscript that is not a review article. The editors also assess the readability, grammar, and language usage of submitted manuscripts and may request resubmission or revision if a manuscript does not meet the required standards.
Editors invite reviewers to provide assessments of the scientific merit of the manuscript as well as its potential interest to the journal's broad readership. Once a manuscript has been assigned to reviewers, the editors maintain communication with the reviewers and provide periodic reminders regarding their review deadlines.
Once all required reviews have been received, the editor handling the manuscript will evaluate the reviewers' recommendations and make an editorial decision, generally within one or two days. The corresponding author will then be informed of the decision. Reviewers contribute their valuable time and expertise as an important contribution to the scientific publishing process.
Authors may disagree with reviewers' comments provided that they present a clear and rational explanation. Such responses will be carefully considered by the editor and, when necessary, may be referred back to the reviewer for further consideration. However, offensive, inappropriate, or disrespectful remarks regarding reviewers' comments may result in the cancellation of the publication process.
An additional editorial assessment is conducted after the peer review process has been completed before the manuscript is finally recommended for publication or rejected.
All efforts are made to complete the entire review and editorial process within three months of submission. The first decision is generally provided within an average of 45 days to inform authors of the status of their manuscript.
